Committee of 100 is a group of people, like you, bound together with a common
heart desire -- to see the services of EnAble grow and continue with
excellence to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities in
the Greater Atlanta area. Men, women, families, churches, businesses,
corporations, and foundations can choose to support EnAble through
membership in the Committee of 100. Because they personally understand how dramatically
the support services of EnAble are improving the lives of so many
deserving people, they have chosen to join the Committee of 100 to help
provide a much needed financial and support base so that EnAble may grow
and provide services known for excellence to those who are so deserving.
The following are some personal comments a few of EnAble’s Committee of
100 members would like to share . . . "Matthew has said he is ‘lucky’ to have two homes
– one with his family and one with EnAble. As parents, we could not agree more
with his statement. We remain thankful and blessed to have their support and
care that EnAble has provided him these past thirteen years. And, in turn, we
are committed to reinforce and encourage EnAble for its role in his life as
members of the Committee of 100." "We were first introduced to EnAble by attending a Gala several years ago. Our good friends, the Leichtys, have a son who is served by the agency. We are aware of the experiences Eric and Gwen have as parents of a child with developmental disabilities. This made us want to help EnAble on a larger scale. The Committee of 100 we discovered was a way we could do more to help their son and the many others being served. "We carefully evaluate the causes we help and support. We have seen that EnAble’s services for individuals with developmental disabilities really work . . . they get the job done! We have the personal satisfaction of seeing the successes being achieved. We’ve watched people who could not realistically live independently do so because of the supports they receive from EnAble. That is why it’s become one of our "charities of choice" because we know our money is being used well to help great people like Chuck Leichty." — John and Flora Shevlin "As a divorced parent with a disabled child and no relatives in the state, I had a huge challenge finding appropriate childcare. The group homes I found did not have enough staff providing quality day-to-day care. I married a wonderful man with a background in Human Services. He researched the limited opportunities and discovered EnAble. We are thrilled with this organization that has 24-hour dedicated staff, planned activities, clean facilities, and day habilitation services. Our son loves EnAble and that is why we became members of the Committee of 100." — Julia and Wayne Scruggs "Matthew has said he is ‘lucky’ to have two homes – one with his family and one with EnAble. As parents, we could not agree more with his statement. We remain thankful and blessed to have their support and care that EnAble has provided him these past thirteen years. And, in turn, we are committed to reinforce and encourage EnAble for its role in his life as members of the Committee of 100." — Nancy and Neil McWhorter"Fifteen years ago, we received a phone call informing us that Kenneth had been admitted to EnAble (then known as RRA). What a feeling of euphoria, followed by excitement, to share with family and friends of Kenneth’s acceptance into the program. Kenneth has developed in so many areas and his progression is due to what the program has meant to him. He is independent, he expresses his desires and wants, and he makes his own decisions. We are very thankful to EnAble providing peace of mind for us in knowing that Kenneth will be loved and cared for my many in our absence." — Patricia and Earl Whidby "What parent doesn’t want the best for their child? For us and for Chuck, EnAble provides the best environment for him to live and achieve all that is possible for him. Through the Committee of 100, we can help assure that the organization will remain strong and viable to give their clients more than the basics provided by Medicaid. "Many hands make light work" is an old saying that applies here. If many people give a little, great things can be accomplished!" — Eric and Gwen Leichty As a member of The Committee of 100 . . .

You can become a "shareholder"
Nonprofit organizations like EnAble of Georgia cannot issue stock in order to fund programs and expansion into new areas. Yet, because the need is so great and there are so many looking for services in this area, EnAble continues to require seed capital for growth, improved programming, and staffing.
As a "shareholder" in the services of EnAble t hrough your membership in The Committee of 100, you will help provide a base of support in three ways — through your giving, sharing with others, and growing in your understanding and appreciation of the services of EnAble.
Membership in the Committee of 100 is available at various levels:
• Bronze - annual gifts totaling $1,000 or more.• Silver - annual gifts totaling $2,500 or more.• Gold - annual gifts totaling $5,000 or more.• Platinum - annual gifts totaling $10,000 or more.
Your Committee of 100 contributions may be made in the manner most convenient for you throughout the year and may include your combined annual donations and sponsorships for EnAble’s fundraising events.
