enAble's Funding Guidelines
The way an organization handles its money is a reflection of its values and integrity. enAble’s board has established the following guidelines and information concerning our financial transactions:
-
enAble of Georgia is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization. Donations may be tax deductible. Please check with your professional tax advisor.
-
enAble adheres to ethical accounting, administration, and fundraising practices.
-
enAble is audited each year by an independent CPA firm. Copies of this audit are available to those interested.
-
enAble never pressures nor resorts to ‘gimmicks’ to obtain funding. We believe it is important to make our needs known and then to ask people to personally consider how they should respond.
-
enAble assumes that every donation or gift of support is sacrificial and, therefore, treats the use of that support with the utmost care, reserve, and frugality.
-
Every person who gives to enAble and supports the individuals served by this agency is valued personally and never taken for granted. We realize giving is a personal choice. We strive to be good stewards of the gifts given and to show gratitude to those who support the services we provide to adults with developmental disabilities by the dedication, love, respect, and care given to each person served.
-
Vendor bills are paid on time, according to the terms specified, when received.
-
enAble never sells or reveals its mailing list to others. Privacy is guarded zealously.
-
enAble staff salaries are set for the tasks involved for the areas of operation (Atlanta, Georgia) based upon periodic surveys of the area, as well as local and government wage-scale information by job codes
